ANNUAL ACTIVITIES 2014-15
1. A lecture on importance of ‘Raksha-Sutra’ was organised on 9.08.2014
2. To
promote Gender Equality a Lecture on ‘Women Protection and Abolishing Child Marriages’
was organised on 9.09.2014
3. 3-day
Book Fair was organised in library from 11-13 Sept. 2014 in collaboration with
Gayatri Parivar where books on Moral Education, Spiritual Edu., Self-emplyment
and women-empowerment were displayed.
4. Mehandi Competition was organised on 10.10.2014
on occasion of Karwa Chauth.
5. To
empower girls, 2-day self defence training was given by Sh. Vinod Kumar on
13-14 Nov. 2014 presided by Sh. R.C. Jain and Women-Cell Incharge Smt.
Rajeshwari Kaushik.
6. Lecture
on ‘Women Harassment’by Adv. Anjali Kaushik on 30.01.2015.
7. Sh.
Parkash Bhatia from Jodhpur, Rajashthan motivated students to reuse and recreate
best out of waste material in workshop on 18.02.2015.
8. A
Special Legal Literacy Camp was organised on 8.03.2015 vide directions from
CJM, Distt. Legal Authority by Sh. S.K. Goel and Ms. Jyoti Maan to apprise the
women about their legal rights under various acts.
9. One
sofa set five seater and one lecture stand was also purchased for Common room.

was delivered by Brahamkumaris by BK Roshanji, BK Pawan ji, BK Kanchan ji and
BK Sashi ji on 17.08.2019. An oath to serve humanity was taken at the end.

Pradhanmatri Kaushal Vikas Yojna by Ms. Mamta Singla, Haryana Skill Development
Distt. Co-ordinator and Sh. Raj Kumar Bhola from Mahatma Gandhi Edu. &
Social Development Organisation.

Talk-show along with Amar Ujala on
Changes in Educational Values with passage of time. Bureau-Chief Sh. Dharamvir,
Sushil Kumar, Aman Kaushik, Kuldeep Singh Sandhu were present in the discussion
on 4.09.2019

Training Session on Women
Empowerment by JC Divya Madhotra on 11.09.2019. Women Team from JCI Jind
attended whole session.

Debate, Declamation, Poetry and
Singing Competition on ‘tura=
esa tuer dh Hkwfedk’ (Role of Public Opinion in Democracy) for conveying
message to masses to cast their vote. Smt. Birmati, Mrs Apoorva and Dr. Sonu
were judges for the events on 18.10.2019.

Signature Campaign was organised on
19.10.2019 to motive people on Gohana Road. Oath Taking Ceremony to cast vote
was also conducted.
8.
Lecture on ‘Ayurveda in Life’ was
delivered by Swami Brahmachari Ved Mitr Tripathi on 23.10.2019. He has
delivered various lectures on importance of Ayurveda in Cambodia and Japan. Sh.
Shiv Shankar Dhiman and whole staff was present on the occasion.
9.
On the theme of Elections Mehandi
Competition was organised on 16.10.2019. Mrs. Priyanka, Ms. Jyoti, Ms. Anita
and Ms. Priya were judges of the event.
10. Election
Awareness Signature Campaign- ‘lHkh
pqusa] lgh pqusa’ Team of Women Cell- Dr. Sumita, Ms. Esha, Dr.
Monika, Ms. Reetu, Ms. Apoorva, Mrs. Birmati and 87 students participated in this
event on 19.10.2019.
11. District
Level Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav was held from 6 to 8 Dec. 2019 in which our Devi
from BA I and many other students displayed their handmade handicraft items in
a Stall for display and sale under the aegis of women-cell, GCW Jind. Thus they
not only gained financially but honed their skills in other fields apart from
academics.
12. Lecture
on ‘Health and Personal Hygiene’ was delivered by Sh. Narender Attri, Health
Officer, Jind on 17.01.2020
13. Albendazole
tablets were distributed 10.02.2020 to the First year students of the College
as per the directions of District Administration, Jind.
14. Second
round distribution of Albendazole was done on 17.02.2020 for those students who
were absent on 10.02.2020 as per the instructions from Health Dept. Haryana and
Distt. Authority, Jind.
15. 65
students participated in Film
Appreciation and Theatre Workshop organised by Dept. of Journalism and Mass
Communication on 3.02.2020 in collaboration with Chitra Bharati Film Festival 2020
organisers. Dr. Sumita Ashri and Mrs. Apoorva Sharma from Women-Cell also
attended the Workshop in which various avenues open for students in this field
were introduced and elaborately discussed.
16. A
one-day Workshop on ‘Career in Mass Communication’ was organised on 3.03.2020
at CRSU Jind in which 43 students of BA III and BA III Eng Hons participated
along with Dr. Sumita Ashri. Career opportunities for girls in this field were
introduced through lectures by eminent personalities in this field.
17. Sh.
Ashwani Sharma from H.R. International Tour and Travel delivered a lecture
‘Study and Work Opportunities in Japan and Canada’ on 5.03.2020. An app
‘Inspiring Young Minds’ was also introduced to 222 students.
18. A
43” Smart TV was installed to keep the girls updated.
19. Chest
Press Bench and Pull up Equipment were installed for Open Gym
20. A
Self-Defence training was given to 100 girl students in Common Room by Coach
Sh. Krishan Singroha, Karate Black Belt Holder. JC Ms. Ritu Garg, Sh. Pawan
Gupta and Smt. Manju Sharma were also present in the event held on 5.03.2020
were various techniques of self-protection were experimentally taught to girl
students.
ANNUAL ACTIVITIES 2020-21
1. National Level Online Competitions
on theme Mother’s Day were organised
on 9.05.2020 including photograph with mother, self-written poem on mother
earth, and Small Video of 2 min with mother and family. 167 students participated in the event.
2. One day workshop was organised on
9.02.2021, comprising 2 sessions namely Staying
fit in Post Covid Era and How to
Stay Happy and Lively to come out of Covid-Mania. 161 students benefitted
from the sessions by Dr. Vivek Singla, Dentist and Motivational Speaker.
3. A 3-day Self Defence Training
comprising 2 sessions each was delivered by Mr. Krishan, Coach and Karate
Trainer to 109 girls from 10-12 Feb. 2021. Various techniques were introduced
to face challenging situations in life including physical abuse and to maintain
mental strength in such tough time.
4. Lectures on ‘Legal Awareness’and
‘Women-rights’ were delivered on 13.02.2021 by Sh. Sanjay Kansal.
5. Team of students participated in
Group Discussion and Awareness Seminar organised by Women and Child Development
Department, Jind on 2.03.2021 on the topic ‘Prevention of Domestic Violence Against Women’. Girls from BSc I
(NM) participated and one of them was declared best speaker.
6. A Panel Discussion on the eve of
Budget was organised on 3.03.2021 in collaboration with Amar Ujala. 148 girls
participated and expressed their expectations from the Budget.
7. Automated
Sanitary Vending Machine was installed for Health and Hygiene of Girl students
in March 2021.
8. Under Project Sahasini ‘Women Safety Focussed Group Discussion &
Safety Mapping’ was organised by District and Police Administration Jind in
collaboration with Martha Farrell Foundation from Delhi on 24.03.2021. 6
students and 15 Assistant Professors worked as a Team and participated in Women Safety Audit with their
presentation headed by Dr. Sumita Ashri.
